We Build Big Batteries
Our Megafactories in Lathrop, California and Shanghai, China are among the largest industrial battery manufacturing facilities in the world. Together, they have a total manufacturing capacity of 80 GWh, or 20,000 units, per year. That’s enough energy storage to retire 400 fossil fuel peaker plants (100 MW each) every year.

From design to commissioning and long-term management, Megapack is equipped with software that maximizes system storage performance and minimizes risk while increasing revenue potential over time. Our software is vertically integrated and can control, monitor and optimize the entire Megapack system. This software constantly improves through over-the-air updates and hardware-in-loop testing.

Tesla handles all service tasks for you, including corrective and preventative maintenance. Our service technicians continuously monitor, diagnose and resolve system issues remotely or on-site to ensure maximum performance.

If you choose not to use Tesla Servicing, Tesla can certify your in-house or third-party team to service your system, giving them access to the same documentation and tools used by Tesla technicians.
